Johnson's Block Cabernet Sauvignon

Wynns Coonawarra Estate Johnson's Block Cabernet Sauvignon is produced only in the best vintages. It is grown just south of Wynns Gables Winery in Coonawarra.

Johnson's Block was planted in 1954. Despite being unirrigated and situated in shallow soil, the vines have weathered many a drought. Today they are the oldest surviving Cabernet vines in Coonawarra.

Following fermentation, the wine matures for over a year in French oak hogsheads. A quarter of the oak is new and the rest is two years old.

Deep red, Wynns Coonawarra Estate Johnson's Block Cabernet Sauvignon has crisp red fruit flavours, cool acidity and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
